The Message of Fatima is aptly classified as public prophetic revelation. It is profoundly intertwined with the Holy Eucharist, the Papacy, the Dogmas of the Faith, and the means of salvation which all Catholics are bound to accept. Devotion to Mary's Immaculate Heart has existed from the very beginning and is an essential part of God's plan of salvation. As a Pope said, Fatima imposes an obligation on the entire Church.
