The greatest error afflicting Catholics today is that one does not have to believe – or practice – the Faith to go to Heaven. This indifferentism leads to the second error, an attitude of minimalism, that is, doing the least to barely "squeak into Purgatory." This attitude is often rationalized by the third error, namely a belief that our salvation is "safe" if we unquestioningly obey the Pope in all things, no matter what. Finally, the error which is leading the most [young] Catholics away from the Faith is an acceptance of evolution and the error that Catholics may believe God used the process of evolution to create the world and mankind.
