Father Gruner was a faithful son of the Church. He expressed his love for Our Lady and respect for the Papacy by unceasingly encouraging the Pope to heed the Blessed Virgin Mary's Message at Fatima. He even hoped Jorge Bregoglio would be the Pope to consecrate Russia; yet Francis' papacy was an unmitigated disaster. Prudence counsels we adopt a hopeful attitude with respect to Leo XIV. May the new Pope provide a much-needed reprieve and direct a process of ecclesial self-healing.
